I admire all great poker players who had been my inspiration to start playing this game. They have not only been my idol, I have learnt to play good hands from the unbelievable games played by them. Of many such master players I am really a fan of Greg Raymer. He is a wonderful player of Poker and bagged the first prize in 2004 WSOP Main Event. He contested among 2576 players and came out to be the best. He also gave a tough fight in 2005 but alas could not keep it up for long. I was really disappointed but appreciate his guts to play so confidently and managing to be among the final 30 out of 5,610 players.
In the final table of Greg’s last game of 2005, he got involved in a big pot with Aaron Kanter holding king of hearts and king of diamonds in hand. It was an incredible opportunity to turn the table, but Kanter played intelligent to call the flop with overcards and it turned to be a flush draw. Raymer was left with a small pack of cards. This resulted in his defeat to Kanter who won a huge pot. It was a keen chance to bag this mega pot which would have made him the cheap leader. Though the real chance was gone but Raymer played good enough to give a tough competition and make his way almost through in the consecutive years.

Poker is nothing but a game of chance. The result can be either a win or a loss. The game is played with a motive to win. Everything can be lost if luck does not favor so a track of bankroll should be maintained which could prevent the players from heavy losses. The payroll can be nothing but a simple excel file recording all wins and losses. This track would help us avoid taking guesses by analyzing the way we play, our winning patterns and it helps to keep a track of our opponents.
The track of bankroll should be maintained by jotting down all the activities after each session. The record maintained would help us find a relation between two games that are played hourly and we can draw the conclusion accordingly. If someone has the knowledge of the amount of money, he can bet he can say no for further games and avoid bankruptcy. Maintaining a bankroll should be important for aggressive players who like quick move up and dip. Recorded data gives handy information on where, when, and why money disappeared from an account. It gives the player an idea of how much money was won and lost on each trip thereby giving a better idea of an individual’s habit due to which betting would be more accurate.
Finally, it does not matter whether the game is online or offline maintaining the track of bankroll would be very useful and make the game better.
